CAUSAL AGENT: | Capillaria obsignata Is considered that this parasite is present in 50 % of the pigeons, but particularly is more sensible in the young animals. |
SYMPTOMS: | A slight infection practically does not produce symptoms, only diminution in the sport perfomance. But if the infection is serious, youngsters can die one week after starting the disease. DIARREA —-> THINNING —–> DEATH |
DIAGNOSE: | Idem ascaridiosis. |
TREATMENT: | Idem ascaridiosis. (NO PIPERAZINA) |
PROPHYLAXIS: | Idem ascaridiosis |
